New Support for Adults Awaiting Autism Diagnosis

Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes ICB, has commissioned new support for adults waiting for an autism assessment. Talkback, a local charity, is offering all adults on the waiting list a free 6-week course of weekly support sessions, plus a confidential helpline for families.

- Family helpline, run by Family Lives: 0808 800 2222 (Mon–Fri 9am–9pm, weekends 10am–3pm)
Face-to-face sessions will launch in early 2026 in Bedford, Leighton Buzzard, Dunstable, and Luton (subject to demand), with online options available. The helpline, run by Family Lives, also offers individual sessions and online workshops for parents.
